Mackinac Bridge Walk - Marquette - September 6th

We will depart from Marquette around 5:30 am on Monday, September 6th, stop on the way for breakfast, walk the bridge, then stop on the way back to Marquette for dinner. The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum will hold its next Creativity Series program the evening of Thursday, September 9. All area families are invited to come to the Children¹s Museum for lots of fun with a theme of "A Pajama Party!" Come have an evening of fun! Pheasant Hunting Workshop – Marquette – September 11th

A “Becoming an Outdoors-Woman” pheasant hunting workshop will take place in the U.P. Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Black Duck Sporting Clays facility from 9 AM through 4:30 PM. Participants are asked to bring their own guns and ammo. Hunting guides, dogs and lunch will be provided. Some guns and ammo will also be available at the facility. A support group meeting for parents of children living with diabetes is planned for Sunday, September 12. This parent-only group will meet at Starbucks on US 41 in Marquette at 10:00 am. Parents will spend time getting to know each other, sharing thoughts, and discussing concerns in an informal setting. "The PWPL Storytellers," a program at Peter White Public Library, invites students in grades 4 through 8 to be part of a creative, dynamic story-drama troupe on alternate Mondays. The next meeting will be held Monday, September 13 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Children's Room. Participants will work on dramatic story skills and meet friends with similar interests. Chuck Delpierre, Negaunee Middle School science teacher will share his experiences with students on an overnight hiking trip on Tuesday, September 14th.
