NASCAR Bob
I grew up on a farm in Canton Twp just outside Plymouth,Mi.
I went to Plymouth High School . I was on the swim team and also in the all school play.
I found I enjoyed entertaining early in life. I started playing in a Rock&Roll Band , and the next thing I new we were playing at record hops for WXYZ, CKLW, and WKNR Radio, and at the Michigan State Fair. When I graduated I started working as a mechanic at a Chevy dealer and became involved in a race team. In the late 60's I was hired by Pontiac Motor Div. as a test driver this lead to more racing . Back in the 50's I started coming to McDonald Lake in Schoolcraft County and in the 90's my wife and I decided to leave the rat race down state and move to Gulliver, what a great decision. One thing that was missing besides family, was racing news.
One day I was at WTIQ Radio Station and ask the Station Manager if he could get some racing news on the air and to my surprise he ask me to do it and the rest is history .L David and I have become good friends and I find we like a lot of the same things making us what I think a good team on morning Radio .
We like a lot of the same music, movies, classic cars and humor. My favorite group is the BEACH BOYS. . My favorite instrumental group is the Ventures..Hope you will try us Fridays 7:11 A.M. - 10:00A.M. on WTIQ A.M. 1490 NASCAR BOB !!
